Beberapa minggu dulu, saya beli lukisan dari sini: Rajawali Art Gallery. Saya suka karya-karya kumpulan pelukis ini kerana dua sebab penting:

.Saya lihat mereka sebagai artis sejati – yang melukis kerana rasa 'cinta' (sebagai motivasi utama), bukan kerana ingin berniaga. For some unknown reasons, underground and 'indies' artists never fail to fascinate me!

.Karya tersebut tidak dihasilkan secara 'mass-production'. Saya tidak gemar pada item seni yang dihasilkan dengan modus operandi 'pengeluaran gaya kilang'. Sebab itu saya tidak menyukai 'manufactured popstars' – hasil daripada rancangan AF dan sekutu-sekutunya.

I love everything about this painting. Pilihan objek biasa-biasa saja. Berasaskan elemen botani. Tapi interpretasinya segar dan provokatif. Saya memang selalu gemarkan sesuatu yang agak misteri. Yang ada unsur enigma.

And, this painting is certainly very rich in that department.

This huge painting was nicely packed, and reached me within a week. Sistem pengurusan yang sangat cekap dan memuaskan. Ya, setanding dengan mutu perkhidmatan Ujana Ilmu, kalau mahu memesan buku dari internet.
